Product Introduction
Where the JMFAA-series lyocell counts are built around maximum evenness, this Ne 40s lyocell is built around level dye uptake — its thick place count of 7 per 1,000 m and thin place count of 1 are lower than any other yarn at this count in our range. For a piece-dyed programme that is the specification that determines whether a lot ships first quality.
The trade-off is deliberate: evenness CV is 12.4% rather than 10.2%, because chasing evenness further would require more combing passes and raise the price. Buyers should choose this yarn when the fabric will be dyed in an even shade, and a JMFAA-series count when the fabric need for maximum surface lustre dominates.
Key Advantages
7 thick places and 1 thin place per 1,000 m. Thick and thin places absorb dyestuff differently from the surrounding yarn, producing the fine streaks that no amount of finishing will remove. Keeping them this low protects first-quality yield on solid-dyed fabric — the single most expensive variable in a piece-dyed programme.
340 cN with low irregularity. Strength is slightly below our JMFAA Ne 40s, but so is irregularity, and the two measures often move in opposite directions. This balance suits knitting and moderate-tension weaving better than high-density warp work.
Lyocell comfort at a mid-tier price. Buyers sometimes assume lyocell means Lenzing-branded premium pricing. This count uses lyocell fibre without the JMFAA evenness premium, making it the realistic entry point for programmes that need cellulosic comfort but not maximum lustre.
Reactive and direct dye compatibility. Lyocell dyes with the same reactive and direct dyestuff classes as cotton and viscose, so this yarn can be substituted into an existing cellulosic dye recipe without rebuilding the colour standard from zero.
