Product Introduction
At Ne 30s this blend reaches 464 cN single-end strength — higher than our 100% cotton Ne 30s — because the long-staple cotton fraction carries load efficiently while the viscose contributes bulk and drape. It is the yarn we recommend when a blended specification has to survive heavy finishing or high-tension weaving.
Evenness CV 10.3% with only 12 neps per 1,000 m places this count in AA grade alongside the finer Ne 40s version of the same blend, so a fabric programme can move between the two counts without renegotiating the quality standard.
Key Advantages
464 cN, above 100% cotton at the same count. Blending in long-staple cotton normally reduces strength relative to combed cotton; here it does not, because fibre length compensates for the weaker viscose component. The consequence is a blend that can be used as warp in dense constructions.
Lowest nep count in the blended range. Neps at 12 per 1,000 m are the lowest of any blended yarn we produce. In pale shades and prints nep contributes to visible speckling and colour standard drift, so this is the specification to choose for those programmes.
Viscose drape without the clammy feel. 100% viscose fabric can feel cold and damp in humid conditions because of its high moisture regain. The cotton fraction shifts that balance towards a drier contact while retaining the fluid drape that makes viscose blend fabrics hang well.
Abrasion and pill improvement. By adding 30% long-staple cotton, the yarn surface resists the fibrillation and pilling that reduces the service life of pure viscose knits, extending garment life through repeated laundering.
