Product Introduction
Slub yarn is the one product in this range where high irregularity is the objective. On this Ne 32s cotton slub the evenness tester records CV 25.6% and 1,965 thick places per 1,000 m; those figures describe the deliberately programmed thick sections rather than defects, and they are what produces the visible slub rhythm on the finished cloth.
The slub profile is set on the spinning frame, not added afterwards, so we control three variables per order: slub diameter, slub length and the pitch between slubs. Buyers who need to match an existing fabric send a swatch and we match against a lab-dip before bulk.
Key Advantages
Slub parameters are specification, not tolerance. Slub diameter, length and spacing are defined per order and repeatable between production runs. This is what allows a fabric to be re-ordered next season without the slub rhythm drifting — the common failure point with traded slub yarn.
Neps held low at 118.8 per 1,000 m. Even though thick places are intentional, nep content is not. Nep control is what separates a clean slub textile from fabric that reads as dirty, particularly after piece dyeing where neps resist dye differently and show as specks.
230 cN strength survives the thin sections. In slub yarn the sections between slubs carry less cross-section and are the weak points in weaving. Holding average strength at this level keeps warp breaks manageable on rapier and air-jet looms running slub warp.
100% cotton for true washed-down behaviour. Because the fibre is cotton throughout, the fabric responds to stone, enzyme and bleach washing the same way as a standard cotton woven — relevant for denim programmes where the slub is expected to abrade unevenly and develop contrast.
