Product Introduction
Ne 40s is the count at which lyocell becomes genuinely versatile: it can be warped, knitted and woven into fine constructions without redesigning the fabric around the yarn. This JMFAA-series version measures CV 10.2% evenness at 377 cN single-end strength, which are the two numbers a mill needs before committing to high-speed production.
In practice the combination — an even yarn with a lustrous fibre — is what allows a sateen or twill construction to show its lustre. Uneven yarn scatters light and dulls the surface; even yarn lets the float length do its job.
Key Advantages
377 cN absorbs the cost of finishing. Lyocell fabrics are often given soft-flow or enzyme treatments that reduce tensile strength. Starting above 370 cN leaves margin for those processes, which is why this count is specified for programmes including garment dyeing or wash-down.
Evenness CV 10.2%, the highest in the lyocell range. This is the tightest evenness figure in our lyocell series, including finer counts. In piece-dyed shirting and bedding it directly translates to absence of barre — the fine cross-wise shading that cannot be finished out once woven.
Thin places held at 2 per 1,000 m. Thin places become weak points that break first under warp tension. Keeping them at this level allows standard warp preparation without additional sizing or a reduction in loom speed.
Fibrillation control through count, not chemistry. Lyocell fibrillates when wet-processed, a property exploited for peach-skin finishes but unwanted in clean-surface fabrics. At Ne 40s with low twist the effect is predictable to control by process rather than by resin treatment.
