Product Introduction
Viscose slub behaves differently from cotton slub, and the difference is visible: viscose absorbs more dye and reflects more light, so the thick sections read more strongly against the thin ones. This Ne 26s version records 3,076 thick places per 1,000 m, giving a dense, clearly defined slub rhythm rather than occasional random knots.
Standard evenness statistics do not apply to this yarn. CV 40.6% and 442 thin places describe the intended irregularity; they are not failure indicators and should not be compared against figures for uniform yarns.
Key Advantages
Slub parameters are specified, not incidental. Slub diameter, length and spacing are set on the spinning frame per order and are repeatable across production runs, so a fabric can be re-ordered seasons later with the same surface rhythm rather than redeveloped.
Viscose amplifies the effect after dyeing. Because viscose takes up more dyestuff than cotton, the slub thick places dye darker and the effect becomes more pronounced after piece dyeing. Buyers should evaluate the finished fabric rather than the greige appearance.
240 cN holds the thin sections together. Slub yarns concentrate stress in the sections between slubs. Holding average strength at this level keeps those thin sections viable through warping and weaving, avoiding the elevated breakage that usually accompanies dense slub frequencies.
Natural sheen and fluid drape retained. Unlike cotton slub, which reads matte and dry, viscose slub retains lustre and falls softly, which suits draped dresses and decorative textiles rather than structured or rugged constructions.
Recommended Applications
Dresses & decorative apparel — Slub-viscose dresses, lightweight slub knits, scarves, relaxed blouses and soft unstructured garments needing visible surface interest.
Home & decorative textiles — Slub-effect curtains, cushion covers and casual table linen where the irregularity is a design feature.
