Product Introduction
Twist is the cheapest way to change the character of a viscose fabric. At 1,550 TPM this Ne 30s yarn is twisted roughly twice as hard as standard weaving yarn, which tightens the surface, removes the soft collapse that makes plain viscose fabric look limp, and produces the dry, faintly linen-like hand used in summer suiting and crepe.
The trade-off is strength: twisting this far removes around a third of the single-end strength a normal-twist Ne 30s viscose would carry, giving 232 cN here. That figure is comfortably adequate for weaving and knitting at normal speeds, but this yarn is not intended for high-tension warp in very dense constructions.
Key Advantages
Evenness CV 10.4% retained at double twist. Twisting hard usually amplifies any irregularity already present in the yarn, so twisted yarn is normally less even than its parent. Holding CV 10.4% at this twist level means no new periodicity is introduced, which is why this yarn weaves cleanly despite the twist.
Zero thin places means predictable warp behaviour. In high-twist yarn thin places are especially damaging, because the already elevated twist differential concentrates stress there. Zero thin places removes the weak points and allows standard warping without special tension control.
Dry hand and pilling resistance from twist, not resin. The degree of twist, not a chemical finish, is what gives this fabric its dry touch and resistance to pilling. That distinction matters for programmes that must avoid specific finishing auxiliaries for environmental compliance reasons.
Crepe effect available without additional processing. At this twist the yarn retains enough liveliness to develop crepe character during wet finishing, so a crepe fabric can be made from plain-woven greige rather than from a specialty crepe yarn at several times the cost.
Recommended Applications
Summer & trans-seasonal apparel — Dry-hand shirting, summer dresses, lightweight trousers with visible texture, cardigans and sun-protection overshirts.
Textured home fabrics — Slub-free but crisp-touch upholstery weight cloth and structured decorative wovens that need to resist crushing.
