Product Introduction
At Ne 60s viscose stops behaving like everyday yarn and starts behaving like silk. The count allows sheer constructions and very light dressing gowns, slips and scarf weights, and it gives the liquid drape that no heavier cellulosic count can match.
The published figures should be read as defining a boundary rather than a flaw: 130 cN strength, CV 13.85% and 95 neps per 1,000 m are what fine-count carded viscose delivers. This yarn is not for high-tension warp or heavy constructions; it is for the top end of lightweight fabric where nothing else gets near its handle.
Key Advantages
Sheer constructions below standard width weights. Ne 60s makes open, lightweight fabrics possible without resorting to filament yarns, so the finished cloth keeps the absorbance and matte appearance of a staple cellulosic rather than the sheen of synthetic filament.
130 cN is the practical floor for weaving fine viscose. Below roughly 120 cN, fine viscose becomes difficult to warp even with careful tension control. Staying above it means this yarn will run on existing equipment rather than requiring machinery changes.
Neps at 95 per 1,000 m — plan accordingly. Nep content is high and will be visible in white and pale shades. It is normally not detectable in printed or deep-shade fabric. Where pale shades are required, discuss a lab-dip before committing to bulk.
Exceptional drape and silence. Low bending stiffness at this count gives fabric that falls cleanly and moves quietly, properties associated with high-end viscose linings and slips and generally unavailable from cotton at comparable cost.
Recommended Applications
Lightweight premium apparel — Sheer summer shirts, silk-handle slips and camisoles, fine scarves, luxury linings and lightweight robes.
Home textiles — High-thread-count bedding accessories, decorative sheers and soft intimate apparel fabrics.
