Product Introduction
Ne 45s occupies the working middle of the viscose count range: finer than the Ne 30s used for everyday shirting, less demanding to run than Ne 60s. For dress and blouse-weight programmes it often gives the best compromise between fabric drape and processing robustness.
Strength registers 178.9 cN single-end with evenness CV 13.2%, and the nep count of 79 per 1,000 m reflects standard carded viscose at intermediate counts. For pale shades we recommend evaluating a lab-dip first; for medium and deep shades the nep content is not normally visible after dyeing.
Key Advantages
178.9 cN at a mid-fine count. Strength at this level keeps the yarn usable in normal warp without reducing loom speed, which is the constraint that otherwise pushes buyers towards either coarser counts or more expensive siro-spun constructions.
Evenness CV 13.2% suits knit and moderate weave work. The evenness figure is consistent with a carded viscose count in the 40s and is adequate for most jersey, poplin and lightweight twill constructions; our siro-spun Ne 40s should be preferred where print definition is critical.
Viscose drape with practical running behaviour. Fine enough to give genuine fluid drape and a soft layered handle, but not so fine that it needs special handling or reduced machine speeds, making it suitable for high-volume programmes.
Cost position between coarse and fine counts. Ne 45s prices below Ne 60s while delivering most of its aesthetic benefit, which is why it appears frequently in mid-market dress and blouse programmes where cost and handle both matter.
