Product Introduction
Where our 580 TPM core-spun version is built for soft comfort stretch, this 1,250 TPM version is built for stretch that recovers. High twist compacts the viscose wrap against its filament core, which reduces the yarn’s tendency to collapse and gives the finished fabric a drier, more structured handle with visible shape retention.
Retained strength is 359 cN single-end and evenness CV 12%. Both figures are lower than those of the softer 580 TPM version, which is the expected cost of twisting: some of the core’s contribution is consumed by the torsional stress of additional twist.
Key Advantages
Stretch with shape retention. Twisting this hard locks the wrap around the core, so the fabric recovers from deformation rather than progressively bagging out during wear. Structured garments made from it hold their silhouette through repeated laundering.
359 cN carries dense constructions. Even after hard twisting there is more than enough strength for high-density weaving, which is what allows stretch to be introduced into tailored and bottom-weight fabrics rather than only into knitwear.
Dry hand, low pilling tendency. The combination of hard twist and a filament core reduces fibre migration at the surface, giving both a crisper touch and measurably better pilling performance than soft-twist staple viscose yarns.
Evenness CV 12% despite composite structure. A core-spun construction twisted to this level normally shows appreciably higher irregularity. Holding near 12% keeps the surface even enough for solid-shade piece dyeing without barre.
Recommended Applications
Structured stretch apparel — Shaped suit-trouserings, stretch blazers, tailored trousers, office-wear dresses and mid-gauge stretch knits that need recovery.
Uniform & workwear — Occupational garments requiring movement without progressive loss of shape over the working life of the garment.
