Product Introduction
Combining a coarse count with high twist produces a yarn with almost none of the weaknesses either feature has alone. At Ne 24s this yarn retains 245.5 cN single-end strength after twisting to 1,350 TPM, with evenness CV 10.50% and — unusually for any yarn, twisted or not — zero thin places and only 8 neps per 1,000 m.
It is the specification to start from when a woven fabric needs crispness and durability: the coarse count supplies the strength, and the twist supplies a dry hand that resists creasing during wear and laundering.
Key Advantages
Best strength-to-twist ratio in the range. High twist normally costs around a third of yarn strength. Because this count begins coarse, it retains enough strength afterwards to survive high-tension weaving in dense constructions — the combination most single-parameter yarns cannot serve.
Evenness CV 10.50% and zero thin places. The evenness and imperfection figures here are better than those of several standard, untwisted counts we produce. The practical consequence is that this yarn can be piece-dyed in pale shades without the barre and streaks that normally follow hard-twisted yarn.
Dry handle that resists creasing. Twist raises the yarn’s resistance to bending, which translates into a fabric that recovers from creasing rather than holding it. For trouserings and structured wovens this reduces the dependence on resin anti-crease finishes.
Suitable for heavyweight and upholstery use. Coarse count plus high twist gives a yarn that accepts higher abrasion loads, opening applications in furnishings and heavy bottom weights where fine-count high-twist yarns would fail.
Recommended Applications
Tailored & structured apparel — Summer suit-trouserings, crisp casual trousers, structured overshirts, unlined jackets and heavyweight shirting.
Home & contract textiles — Medium-weight decorative fabrics, cushion covers and other furnishings requiring crisp handle and abrasion resistance.
