Product Introduction
This Ne 40s is the pragmatic count in the EVR viscose series. It carries 355 cN single-end strength — high enough for warp work on standard air-jet looms — while remaining fine enough for lightweight spring and summer fabrics, which is why it absorbs more of our own capacity than any other viscose count.
JMFAA is our internal specification covering evenness and nep limits, applied here rather than to the lyocell series only. It exists because the difference between two nominally identical Ne 40s viscose lots is usually visible in the finished fabric, and this is the mechanism used to keep that variance in check.
Key Advantages
355 cN allows warp use at Ne 40s. Most Ne 40s viscose yarn cannot carry warp load and is restricted to weft or knitting. This yarn crosses that boundary, so a single fabric can be made entirely from it rather than requiring a stronger warp partner of a different fibre.
Evenness CV 11.7% with only 2 thin places. Evenness determines whether lightweight fabric will show barre after piece dyeing. Combined with the very low thin place count, this specification is well suited to pale solid shades where any irregularity reads clearly.
Lenzing-sourced fibre reduces dye variability. Standard viscose can vary in maturity and dye affinity between lots, which shows as depth variation across repeat orders. Using Lenzing-sourced fibre removes most lot-to-lot drift, reducing the number of lab-dips needed.
Highest moisture absorption in the range. Viscose at Ne 40s retains more moisture than cotton alternatives and dries quickly, making it well suited to garment programmes marketed on comfort in humid climates.
