Product Introduction
Ne 60s is the finest count in this viscose range and is specified for one reason: fabric weight. At this count a plain-weave fabric drops below 60 GSM while remaining opaque enough for summer shirting and linings, and the resulting drape is closer to silk than to any cotton equivalent.
Strength is correspondingly low at 156.9 cN, and the imperfection counts are higher than anything else on this page. Those two facts should be read together with count — they are inherent to fine-count viscose and not a defect of this particular lot. If your programme requires high warp tension, use the Ne 30s or Ne 40s version of this series instead.
Key Advantages
Fabric weight below 60 GSM. Fine count is the only lever that materially reduces woven fabric weight without changing construction or going to filament yarns. This makes Ne 60s the practical choice for summer shirtings, silk-handle linings and ultra-light scarf fabrics.
156.9 cN held despite fine count. Viscose fibre at Ne 60s normally lands nearer 130-140 cN, and the difference is usable: an extra 15% of strength reduces warp stoppages enough that this yarn can be woven without reducing loom speed.
Lenzing-sourced fibre for consistency. The EVR series uses Lenzing-sourced viscose, which gives repeatable dye affinity between lots. That matters when you are dyeing pale shades across multiple deliveries, where fibre origin differences show up as shade drift.
High absorption and cool contact. Viscose absorbs roughly twice as much moisture as cotton and releases it readily, producing the cool initial contact sensation valued in warm-climate shirting and summer dresses.
Recommended Applications
Summer suiting & fine shirting — Ultra-lightweight shirting, silk-handle summer garments, camisoles and slips, high-thread-count layered garments.
Linings & premium bedding — Rayon-free garment linings, fine-gauge intimate apparel and high-thread-count decorative bedding accessories.
